The Govt. Degree College, Salur, Parvathipuram started functioning fromthe academic year 1982-83 with BA,B.Com and B.Sc courses. It is the onlyonedegreecollegerunbyGovtofAndhraPradeshinVizianagaramDist.inthosedays.The Department of Mathematics was established in 1998 along with otherscience facilities. There are two combinations with Mathematics. MPC andMPCs with a strength of 30 and 20 respectively. Practical Training classesin mathematics were introduced from the year 2004-05. Now the presentstrength is increasing day by day. So the Govt of AP, increased the seatsandconvertedallgroupstoEnglishmedium.
