 About Us

      Government Degree College, Salur is established in the year 1982. Salur town is on the       bank of river Vegavathi. The National Highway number 43 connects it to the states of       Orissa and Chattisghad. It is located in rural and remote tribal belt. At the time of its       inception it was the only Government Degree College in entire Vizianagaram District.       The college at present has B.A(HEP), B.Com. and B.Sc  with M.P.C and C.B.Z and M. P.  CS,     Computer groups, & PG CHEMISTRY M.Sc (ORGANIC CHEMISTRT).

It was established2017.Sanctioed by Andhra University with vide proceding no. C.II(5)/PG/PROV./AFF/2016-17, DATED-13-3-2017.

 

 

      The college building was planned and constructed is the year 1982. There is an open air       stage for conducting meetings and cultural programmes. The college has been       Accredited with ‘C’ grade by NAAC with 2.96.Our college celebrated Silver Jubilee       function in 2008.

 The college has been       Accredited with ‘B’ grade by NAAC with 2.30. Our college celebrated       function in 2016.

 

 

 Govt Degree College : Salur Parvathipuram(Manyam) Dt. Profile Of Department of chemstry The Govt. Degree College, Salur, Parvathipuram started functioning from the academic year 1982-82 with BA,B.Com and B.Sc courses. It is the only one degree college run by Govt of Andhra Pradesh in Vizianagaram Dist. in those days. The Department of pg chemistry(M.Sc -ORGANIC CHEMISTRY)  was established in 2017 along with other science facilities. There are two combinations with CHEMISTRY. MPC and CBZ with a strength of 30 and 20 respectively.Now the present strength is increasing day by day.
